About Me

I live in the San Juan Islands of the Pacific Northwest, where I am daily inspired by the lush landscape surrounding me. My paintings showcase the intricate details, textures, and myriad of hues that can be observed by taking the time to pause and peer closely at the marvelous world existing within plants. I work primarily with watercolor, carefully building up many layers until the tonal contrasts, saturation levels, and details resonate with the joy and wonder I experience when studying a botanical subject. It is my hope that these emotions will translate into my paintings and affect viewers the same way.
